Monstroscopy is an interactive installation commissioned by the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh that allows visitors to perform endoscopic-like "surgery" on a giant monster of unknown origin. Inserting their hands through incisions, the audience may carry out playful surgical tasks inside the beast while watching their hands on CCTV monitors on small hospital carts. The monster may respond to certain touches in various ways, such as forming speech, breathing, and wagging its tale.

This project was created in collaboration with Luke Loeffler, and was on view at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh from September-December of 2013.
